Volunteering at Worawa Aboriginal College

At Worawa, we warmly welcome the support of volunteers who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young Aboriginal women.

The Worawa Model of Learning is designed to create meaningful change, supporting our students as they build upon the knowledge, skills, and understanding they bring from their home and broader communities. Through our unique approach, we celebrate each student’s achievements and craft a Personalised Learning Plan (PLP) to help them grow as learners and future leaders who will contribute to both their community and the nation.

Our dedicated volunteers play a crucial role in this journey. By committing their time and expertise, volunteers provide regular support to individual students or assist in the classroom, helping to foster a nurturing and productive learning environment. While on campus, volunteers are fully supported by our dedicated team.

If you're interested in volunteering at Worawa, we encourage you to schedule an interview to explore the opportunity further. This interview helps ensure that your goals as a volunteer align with the College's mission. Please note that all volunteers are required to have a valid Working with Children clearance from the Department of Justice. A first aid certificate and a current driver's licence are advantageous but not mandatory.

To express your interest in volunteering, please contact us at reception via email at admin@worawa.vic.edu.au or call (03) 5962 4344, and we will connect you with the appropriate person.
