Student Placement

Community Services Placement Opportunities at Worawa

The community services sector plays a vital role in supporting and nurturing individuals, families, and groups, helping them maximise their potential and enhancing community wellbeing. At Worawa Aboriginal College, we recognise the importance of strengthening students’ workplace experience, developing practical skills, and applying knowledge in real-world settings that cannot be fully replicated in the classroom.

To support this, we offer supervised placement opportunities for learners pursuing qualifications such as the Certificate IV in Child, Youth, and Family Intervention, Diploma of Community Services, Bachelor of Social Science (Youth Work), or Indigenous-specific studies. These placements provide valuable hands-on experience in a culturally rich and supportive environment. For those travelling from outside the local area, accommodation may be available during the placement period.

To be eligible for placement at Worawa, learners must hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check.

If you are interested in applying for a placement, please contact our office by emailing admin@worawa.vic.edu.au to begin the application process.
